🪪 Enroll in the Apple Developer Program

1. Sign in at developer.apple.com/programs/enroll with your 2FA-enabled Apple ID.
2. Choose the entity type you decided in Phase 0 (Individual / Organization). This cannot be casually flipped later.
3. Individuals: the fastest path is the Apple Developer app on iPhone/iPad — it handles ID scan + selfie verification inline and often approves within 48 hours.
4. Organizations: you'll need the D-U-N-S number, legal entity name, your role/signing authority, and an organizational website whose domain matches your email.
5. Fill in everything with your exact legal details — this data is checked against your ID document.

Apple verifies who you are before taking your money:

• Individuals: government photo ID, usually via the Apple Developer app's scan + selfie flow. Typical wait: 1–2 days.
• Organizations: Apple may call the company phone number on file or email to confirm the enrolling person has authority to sign. Typical wait: up to a week, sometimes two.
• Keep an eye on email (including spam) and answer calls from unknown/international numbers during this window — a missed verification call quietly stalls everything.

Once verification passes you'll be prompted to pay the $99/year fee (auto-renews — set a calendar reminder or check Membership details for the renewal date).

After payment:

1. Wait for the 'Welcome to the Apple Developer Program' email (payment processing can take up to 48h).
2. Confirm access: developer.apple.com/account should show Membership details with your Team ID, and appstoreconnect.apple.com should let you in.
3. Note your Team ID (10-character string) — you'll need it for signing config, EAS, and associated domains.
